What is UTR?

Universal Tennis Rating is an international measure of playing level based on match results, generally running from 1 to 16. You do not need an official UTR to use Frame & Feel — you can estimate your level or skip it.

How it works

Three steps between your level and gear that fits it.

Set your player profile

Enter your UTR, convert a rating you already know, or use the optional estimator. Add where you play, your racquet, and your current string setup when you want more relevant comparisons.

We match relevant setups

Recommendations prioritize the same or a technically similar racquet, your desired characteristics, and playing style. UTR is a supporting signal.

Read feedback that transfers

Compare detailed racquet and string ratings, plus a simple overall score for tennis balls.
